Libraries creating space for teens!

When my husband and I married years ago we chose to live in Arlington, Texas. We chose Arlington because of the wonderful public services the community offered. It has a great selection of public parks, public libraries and excellent public schools. The other night I noticed where the library there is doing some new and innovative things for teens! They have entered the world of blogging. Arlington Public Library has created a blog for teens advertising the new books in the library! They also have a new section of the library just for teens to create content. Check it out. And finally the gallery of projects created in the Studio at Arlington Public Library.

Getting teens into the public library is a challenge these days but the library in Arlington is seeking them out where they play online. It will be interesting to see how the gallery and underground area progresses over time. It is a great start in the right direction!
